Our Methodology
The Facilitating Change Effective Engagement (FC E2 TM) Methodology© encompasses the disciplines of facilitation and project management, and is a systematic process for designing, delivering and reporting on engagement for major planning developments. In structure, it is a series of models, each providing developers with a specific element of support. Together the models make up the FC E2 TM Toolkit, which we use to tailor our service for the precise needs of each of our clients. Each element of the Toolkit complies with, or exceeds, published guidelines and legislation, including:

The high degree of compliance is a signature strength of our reporting. We demonstrate how, even in the most complicated of applications, consultation has affected the final design of the development. By working with developers at the design stage of the development, we are able to ensure that design changes, instigated either by the public or by other consulted stakeholders, are recorded and clearly documented in the Pre-application consultation report, a format that will be compulsory once forthcoming legislation comes into full force.
Facilitating Change has already presented several such reports in advance of legislation being implemented. We have successfully shown, in each case, that the consultation processes have been robust.
The following describes the ways in which we are able to engage the local community. We ensure that the engagement not only exceeds government standards, but is also valuable to developer and community alike. In this way we aim to build trusting and sustainable relationships throughout the life of the project. We provide a number of distinct services:

At Facilitating Change we believe that public consultation can be a powerful element of the project development lifecycle. We will help you both meet the challenges, and realise the benefits, of rigorous public and stakeholder consultation.
