Facilitating Change were delighted to return to Eyemouth this month to support the Neart na Gaoithe (NnG) project team at the RNLI Gala Day. The event gave the team the opportunity to meet with members of the local community and discuss the positive impact the project is having on the local area and beyond. Over 300 people visited our stand, including young people keen to find out about the wind farm and learn about renewable energy.
NnG’s new operations and maintenance base provided a stunning backdrop to the event. It was also great for us to see it up and running, having supported the NnG team to undertake their pre-application consultation a few years ago.
Facilitating Change was also responsible for designing, delivering, auditing, and reporting on the stakeholder engagement programme which led to the 450MW NnG offshore wind farm securing the necessary consents for its development. The wind farm is now under construction and is expected to be fully operational in 2024.
