Facilitating Change has been helping the West of Orkney Windfarm to deliver a series of Pre-Application Consultation (PAC) events for both the offshore and onshore elements of its project. Events have been held in venues across Caithness, Sutherland and Orkney where people have been able meet the development team and receive an update on the project. Information provided has included insights into the environmental assessments that have been undertaken, along with an analysis of feedback received to date.
PAC events are a critical component of the consenting process for major renewables projects and there are strict requirements relating to how they are advertised and what information they provide to local communities.
